Our dream

'Twas some dream I dreamt Without rights or wrongs Without fear, plight without Sans surrender, sans fright O gentle dream, comforting me In the night of might Stay, stay in my mind Lest the morning of righteous fog Obscure you out of sight. Tomorrow dare not pollute My dream, that dream. Neither power, nor conceit Neither bias, nor hate Can snatch my dream, that dream. Time dare not erase My dream, our dream Division dare not divide My dream, our dream. Follies behind old wounds Sleep peacefully in their graves Reopen they might, Will not, cannot, dare not Kill my dream, our dream. Dreams cannot die, Dreams will survive History won't forget My dream, our dream. Once upon a time Some brave dreamers Died to protect My dream, their dream, our dream They wrote down that dream To pledge, and live by They cannot die again for My dream, their dream, our dream. So let us all dream tonight My dream, their dream, our dream. That ancient, p...

Now Amazon will sell water to Bengaluru via drones

Bengaluru. Following the deepening of the water crisis in south Bengaluru partially due to an unusually intense summer, online marketplace Amazon has decided to sell drinking water via drones. The water will be more 'Himalayan' than Patanjali's and will have the capability to quench every thirst instantly. Amazon has been doing trial runs for its own offices near Bellandur and had an amazing jump in employee satisfaction ratings. Drones will be deployed to deliver this water as there is no guarantee that the water will survive the urban traffic melee on the roads. An Amazon spokesperson told us that water may be the next biggest business in India after cricket, movies and politics. Drones can help deliver it more safely than human agents as complaints were trickling in of agents asking for water to drink from the customers after regular deliveries.   Our team went to a number of residential societies in Bellandur, and were appalled at the their current conditi...

The meeting

Blasé to the flexing space the two stars meet. The biome's stellar savior --Who wrought this star-spangled beach-- And the ancient cellular wizardry. The waves shimmer with song To greet the electromagnetic flux, To pray happy return Of the great yellow sun. Instagram

Ever elastic instant

Steadily does The heat sear through Taut nerves curl right Tense synapses crackle Let the electrons excite The wave propagate The charge transfer Let there be some solar sizzle Some graviton dispatch Let there be light For an ever elastic instant.   Instagram

Trapped in transit

Trapped in transit Of the past in present-- The indomitable human spirit. Trapped in transit Of irreverent times in a relenting world-- The mercurial temper of the internet human.   Trapped in transit Of the old in the new-- The intrepid human endeavour.   Trapped in transit Of the classic in the modern-- The will, the grit, and the pride of labour. Trapped in transit Of the hunger in Development-- The contours of human emotion. Trapped in transit Of life in the Virtual-- The superficiality of existence. Trapped in transit Of magic in Technology-- The primitive human instincts. Trapped in transit Of the mysterious in Reason-- The unseen, the unknown and the unlived. Trapped in transit Of Pangaea in the continents-- The eternal, the magnificent, the blue planet. Trapped in transit Of the universe in space-time-- Entropy, energy and evolution. Instagram

A spring story

Onwards and downwards I fall from my home With the spring heavy in the wind And night impatient in the sky I twirl and writhe At the mercy of Time In the zero of my life.   Some serac was I Once upon a tree Where bred koels and honeybees Until blight cut me loose Of my very own vein.   I hear the murmurs of my tree Deep down awaits the earth of my dreams The soil of my youth, the seed of my being. I wait to dissolve, And to be absolved My mother will set me free.   Instagram

A dusky sky

With stark strides, homeward-bound the pigeon dives over the encumbered expanse. Where hover cotton-white clouds-- a quilt of clover for a cooling distant star. Gulls are silent The sands twinkle To let the dusk arrive. Day is up, deeds are done And sleep is no stranger. Instagram

Superstringed stranger

Through earth and water and atmosphere I come in peace to you Dancing around flickering stars And swooning in gentle spirals I ride on gravitational waves to you I saw the universe, I met the stellar snow I rappled the superstrings Atlast I am home. Instagram

The city tower

Wiry frame and skeletal spire With great grit The tower stands Taut is its nerves Gaunt its stance In a high note Whizzes its electric heart Blind its gaze And upright its ka Impaling the sky With a breath of heat Stands tall the tower of my city. Instagram

A crack's dream

Unquenched as the prairies I await the July sky Bathed in my tropical heat The ant bides inside I think of a million footfalls-- And cast a thousand dust storms Yet never have I had A blade of February grass Or a butterfly's morning whisper. Beside my parched lips of clay I dream of tired camel hoofs And the shimmering lighthouse. Instagram

Light's way

Long has been my road to you, My existence through time and space Etched far beyond your life. My world is yours now And yours mine. Instagram

The reminisced present

Barren and wasted-- Alone I stand. Past glories forsaken, Good times are behind. Now skies burn slow; Greed grows dim-- And I stand stooped For the last nest to fly. Instagram
